Dear Peopoly Community Members,

We are pleased to announce that a number of our pre-production units have been successfully assembled, signaling a significant milestone in our production timeline.

【Progress on Pre-Production Assembled】
These pre-production units constitute our first batch of fully assembled machines. In the course of print testing, we identified some minor challenges, primarily stemming from mechanical component inaccuracies from the suppliers. Such setbacks are not uncommon in the pre-production stage and serve as instructive indicators for refinement before initiating mass production. We have collaborated with our suppliers to improve part tolerances, resulting in enhanced fit and smoother mechanical operation.

Our engineering team is diligently addressing these issues. Modifications are underway, and additional tests are being conducted to ensure the complete resolution of these challenges.

Here is a video of Magneto X Printing PLA-CF. Please note that there is a layer line caused by Z-axis issue on this particular unit at a specific height. We have identified the source of the issue to the supplier for better QC.

【Design Update: Enhancements to Magneto X's MagXY System】
The Magneto X's X-axis and Y-axis feature Peopoly's proprietary MagXY magnetic linear motor system. To bolster system reliability, we have now enclosed the magnets, mitigating the risk of foreign object interference.

OrcaSlicer can import native STEP files to be printed, i.e. with perfect smooth curves. That is to say you’re not forced to use STL files, which produce low-poly facetted curved walls when the mesh definition of the object is not high enough.
Please use STEP files for your next printed examples.

Hmm with the linear motors now having a cover, is there any concern on heat or friction in use? What if debris/dust? Maybe we should make/install little soft bristle sweepers to prevent dust/debris build up under the mounting point? That clearance gap is quite small – and little bits of filament, or maybe some dust and hair might get under it – and while I don’t think it will stop it – it might cause problem, I would think?

Hi, I am wondering if a Idex Configuration would be possible with this system?”

Hi Simon, Thank you very much for your attention. Currently, the Magneto X system does not support idex configuration.

Glad to see the second update. I was getting worried you were not going to post. I just wanted to mention another feature of the enclosure kit: helps keep cats safe. That’s the main reason I bought it.

Thanks for the good update, I’m already happy with the quality. Although I will install a “T8? Anti Backlash Spring Nuts 3D Printer Parts “ on the Z axe.
looking forward to more good news, updates, production photos and videos.
good luck to you.

I think Peopoly could set a new industry standard with these linear motors, finally getting to see it print. A near silent motion system besides cooling fans, no belts or pulleys will free up some time allowing engineers to further improve 3d printers as we know. I can’t wait for mine to arrive!

Also could you make the video public as it says it is private right now.
