Many model makers love the look for Nex Grey and Flesh resin for its smooth finish, premium color, and ease of postprocessing. However, there is more to those resins than just great resolution and colors. They were originally developed as HiTemp resin for vulcanized rubber process and many vacuum forming techniques. It can handle a spike in temperature up to 180C for a short duration which is more than enough for the said application. Here is a vulcanized rubber test we did:
1. setting up the ring and rubber
2 Heat and press them.
3. Cool down
4 Carefully cut open the mold
5. The ring is intact and the mold captured the details
