Magneto X Production Triumph and Exciting New Features Ahead!

Hello Peopoly User Community,

First and foremost, a big thank you for your enduring patience. I'm excited to bring you the latest updates on the Magneto X's production and features.

【Getting Ready for Production】

We've reached a significant milestone: all pre-production units of Magneto X are assembled and have been undergoing print tests since last week. Collaborating closely with our suppliers, we've fine-tuned quality control and enhanced our production process. The great news? Magneto X is all set for full-scale production—a major tick on our project timeline. We’re equally thrilled about what this means for you. Check out the attached snapshots of the progress.magneto-x-fdm-3dprinting
Here: Magneto X clocking in at 737mm/s with PLA-CF material. This test utilized our Lancer extruder with an extended melt zone, 0.4 mm nozzle, and a layer height of 0.2 mm.

【Expected Shipping Start Time, the end of November】

With production ramping up, we're navigating the busiest time of the year with determination. Nearly all parts (95%) have arrived, and we're awaiting the final deliveries this week. Concurrently, we're fine-tuning the drivers to enhance performance across all speeds. Rest assured, we are wholeheartedly committed to delivering a Magneto X that not only meets but exceeds your expectations.

【Dialing Up the Magneto X with New Features】

We're also delighted to announce upcoming add-on features that will elevate the Magneto X experience:

Active Heater Function
Our active heater is designed to maintain a consistent and optimal printing temperature, ensuring superior print quality and material performance, particularly for ABS, ASA, and Nylon.

To safeguard your workspace's air quality, Magneto X will be equipped with a filtration system to effectively remove particles and VOCs.

These add-ons are in development to refine your printing process further. We'll keep you posted on these exciting enhancements as they progress.

Once again, thank you for sticking with us. We’ll keep pushing, improving, and, most importantly, keeping you informed every step of the way.

Warm regards and happy printing,

Mark

Brilliant.
I’m really seeing a bright future for this printer. Excellent work.
I spoke about it at FormNext with many experts, resellers and distributors.
Some shared my same exact opinion. Others, who didn’t know about it, were very interested in gathering more information.
Keep up the great work.

I’ll echo everyone else’s comments, don’t rush production!
That being said, I am looking forward to the next blog update, I can’t wait to see how things are coming along!

“Sanford Freedman
If the new features are additional purchases, how can we purchase them so they arrive with our printers? I didn’t see them listed on the order page.”

Hi Sanford, Thanks for your support. The heater and filter are currently under development. We will provide timely updates on the progress following the completion of further testing and development.

Please keep delaying and taking your time to deliver a more polished printer. No reason to rush it to us just to have it sit on the counter waiting for updates.
Will peopoly be including pretuned profiles for a few common filaments types? TPU, PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA?”

Hi Sean, Thank you for your attention! We will first configure the relevant material files on the orca slicer software.
All you need to do is select the machine and the type of consumables you need.

I’m glad to wait for a the Magneto X. I cancelled my Prusa XL due to it being beta and needing a ton of work.

Please delay the printer. Its quite obvious this thing needs more time to polish. I love the active heated portion. This should have been included with the enclosure kit. It’s just another thing I have to add now to get a complete printer.

Peopoly please do NOT rush this product. Consumers who are willing to spend this amount of money want a GREAT out of the box experience. The community is tired of waiting for products to age like fine wine, just watch some age like milk.

Regarding the heater, where will this be fitted? How will it be cable managed? For those of use waiting on pre-orders, when we be able to add the heater?

Regarding VOCs. Please stop the marketing BS. A carbon filter of that size will not eliminate, nor barely decrease VOCs. It WILL decrease smells. I have worked in RDT&E for almost a decade, this is not how you eliminate VOCs.

User interface and slicer profiles. One of the biggest gripes is when a printer is released that provides us with a old version of a forked slicer… Please ensure we have profiles ready to use and implement on Orca, Prusa, and Cura. Everyone has their favorites, but do not send a 3 year old fork.

I don’t know about this heater function. While it is nice and all – it would appear to be a simple PTC Heating Element – probably in the range of 300-750W – something easily obtained Online for under $20 US. (of course wiring and all that is another story) – and probably has a 120mm fan on the back to push air through it into the what will be an enclosed space (or else the heater will do virtually nothing until it heats the entire room it is in)

Also how would existing enclosure kits work with this? Are you just cutting holes in them for the fan to get air?

Also I am really hoping there is a bit more slack in that power cable that goes up to the bed – that photo makes the cable seem strained. I know it is in it’s ‘highest position’ and all, but it shouldn’t be drawn taunt.

I also worry about the placement of the heater right next to what appears to be the electronics box – or possibly the power supply itself- this design is basically baking the power supply (if that is in fact the power supply, looks similar to a Computer ATX style power supply) you also have the wires right there – so if they are not silicone – they will no doubt suffer heat problems with that heater. (become brittle over time, flat out melt, etc)

I am all for bonuses to make it even better – but honestly – I can’t see how your planning for them now, with enclosures able to be purchased – unless your just.. simply cutting a hole in them to allow fan placement/intake.

Also… I highly doubt the filtration system will remove VOCs. It will, most likely, be a standard activated charcoal filtration system, so while it will remove odors and some particulates, it will do virtually nothing for actual VOCs. This has been tested with a number of Printer Filters – especially in the Resin Market – so until you can show some actual video footage of VOC measuring before, during, and after printing with a printer using a filter – I don’t think you should advertise it as “VOC removing” – instead, just say it like it is – it’ll help remove the odors of the smells from ABS and other filaments printed with, which most find unpleasant.

“Roman Nikitin
Will the new Features be included in the delivery of the printer or do I need to purchase it separately?”

Hi Roman, Thank you for your feedback! The heaters and air filtration you mentioned are optional add-ons that we’ve recently developed and not standard inclusions, they require separate purchases. They perform most effectively when the machine is fully enclosed.

Glad to see a filter option! Please take a look at something like the Nevermore Max for design requirements? The current generation of filters is quite inadequate…”

Hi Xelinor, Thank you for your feedback and suggestions. If we release new products or new features in the future, we will release them on social media in a timely manner, so stay tuned!

These additions are nice, but are they going to be included with the printer standard or will they be additional if purchased separately? Will the pre-ordered models we purchased get updates and parts issued as the wrinkles get ironed out of the printer as they arise in the hands of the public?”
